By booking / attending a Pilates session or using our services you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Throughout these Terms and Conditions, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Pilates with Elena, and “you”, “your”, and “yours” refer to you, the client/ customer. These Terms, together with your booking confirmation (whether provided verbally or in writing), form the contractual agreement between us (“the Agreement”) and govern the provision of our services to you. Any amendments to this Agreement must be agreed in writing by both parties in advance.
By attending a Pilates session, you confirm that you have filled out a PAR-Q form in the past 12 months (or will notify us immediately if not), and that you are physically fit and able to participate in any session. You understand that our sessions are designed for general fitness and are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
You must obtain medical clearance and inform the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, changes to your health or any concerns prior to participating in any session. Pilates with Elena is not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to disclose relevant medical information. If you are unsure about your suitability to exercise, or if you have a medical condition or injury that may affect your ability to participate, you must obtain medical clearance from a General Practitioner (GP) or qualified healthcare professional prior to attending any Pilates session.
You acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks associated with physical exercise. While we provide guidance, you know your body best. Modify exercises to suit your needs, take breaks or stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or if something does not feel right and seek medical assistance as required.
Age Requirements: Our Pilates sessions are designed for individuals 18 years or older.
Children on Premises: For safety and insurance reasons, children are not permitted in the studio during classes or private sessions, even if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Only registered participants may attend.
Conduct: To ensure a safe and positive environment you must always follow the instructor’s guidance, respect other clients’ comfort and the studio space. Disruptive behaviour or language will not be tolerated. Pilates with Elena reserves the right to refuse participation or terminate the session of anyone behaving inappropriately, disrespectfully or unsafely.
Clients are not permitted to record (video/audio) or photograph any part of a Pilates session unless explicitly authorised by the instructor in advance.
Personal Property: Clients are responsible for their own belongings. Pilates with Elena accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal property or personal fitness equipment brought onto the premises.
Schedule Modifications: We reserve the right to modify the class schedule at any time, including changes to instructors, session times, or class formats.
Mat and Towel Policy: Please bring your own mat (if possible). If you use a studio mat, you must bring a large towel to cover it. Failure to bring either a personal mat or a suitable towel may result in refusal of entry to the class to maintain health and safety standards.
Dress Code: Clients should wear suitable athletic clothing for Pilates practice. Barefoot participation or non-slip socks is recommended. If you have a verruca, athlete’s foot or similar foot complaint, you must wear socks in the studio.
Hydration: Bring water to stay hydrated throughout the session.
Arrive Early: Please arrive at least 5 - 10 minutes before your class begins to get ready and to complete the PAR-Q and informed consent form, if not already completed in the past 12 months. If there have been any changes to your health, including injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or any other concerns, you must obtain medical clearance and inform the instructor prior to participating.
Late arrivals: A strict 5-minute late policy applies – arriving after this time will prevent you from joining the class. This policy is for safety, as missing the warm-up increases the risk of injury, and for venue security, as doors may be locked after the grace period. Payments for classes missed due to late arrival will not be refunded.
Safety: While exercising, you must listen to your body and exercise safely. Modify exercises as needed and take breaks or stop immediately if you feel any pain, dizziness, or discomfort. Your wellbeing is the priority, always stop if something does not feel right and seek medical advice if needed.
Equipment Usage: All studio equipment must be used as directed by instructors. If any equipment appears damaged or broken, please notify the instructor immediately.
Phone Use: Please turn off or silence your phone during class to avoid distractions.
Personal Hygiene: Cleanliness is important in a group environment. Please practice good personal hygiene, including wearing clean clothes and socks.
All classes are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
A deposit or full payment (as selected by the client) is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings without the required payment will be automatically cancelled. Any remaining balance must be paid at the venue by cash or bank transfer prior to the session.
Current class prices are published on our website or available on request. Rates for private sessions are provided on request. Prices are subject to change; however, previously purchased packages will be honoured at the price paid.
To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, Pilates with Elena operates a strict twenty-four (24) hour cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Refunds and Transfers: All payments and deposits for bookings, class passes, private sessions, and packages are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person.
Early Cancellations: The client may cancel or reschedule a booking with at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice to receive a studio credit and avoid forfeiture of the payment made.
Late Cancellations and Missed Sessions: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of all payments made. Any remaining balance for that session will remain due and payable by the client.
Packages and Credit Expiry: All class and private session packages must be used within six (6) weeks from the date of purchase. Any studio credit issued due to an eligible cancellation must be used within thirty (30) days of issue or before the original six (6) week package expiry date, whichever occurs first. Unused sessions or credits will expire at the end of the applicable period. Extensions may be granted at the discretion of Pilates with Elena.
Private Session Lateness: If a client arrives late for a private session, the session will still end at the scheduled time to avoid disrupting subsequent clients. The full session fee will remain applicable.
Cancellations by Us: If a session is cancelled by Pilates with Elena, the client may either reschedule or receive a studio credit valid for thirty (30) days.
By participating in any class or private session, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with physical exercise and understand that participation is at your own risk. Pilates with Elena and its instructors shall not be held liable, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in sessions or the use of venue facilities or equipment.
You are responsible for ensuring your physical suitability for the class, following instructor guidance, and stopping immediately if you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or feel unwell. You should seek medical assistance as required.
You must obtain medical clearance and inform the instructor of any pre-existing health conditions or injuries at the beginning of each session.
